Villa Bernasconi, Cernobbio, is the place of the IATH Foundation (International Academy of Tourism and Hospitality). The villa, which is one of the most famous examples of Art Nouveau architecture at the Italian level, was built before 1905. The decoration of the villa is inspired by the silk industry and is typical of the Larian. It is not a coincidence that his client, Davide Bernasconi, was an entrepreneur in the textile sector.
The villa, which with the passing of generations later became the property of the town of Cernobbio (1989), in recent years has grown to become the cultural center and has hosted numerous exhibitions and events, thanks to its proximity to Villa d'Este and Villa Erba . Currently it is the place of the International Academy of Tourism and Hospitality, in which the activities take place in classroom teaching.
The IATH Foundation (International Academy of Tourism and Hospitality), located in via Private Bernasconi 1, Cernobbio, is easily accessible from Como (map with directions) and the line number. 6 (ex CC6) (Cernobbio - Cernobbio - Como center - Albate).
