Cernobbio, November 4, 2023 – IATH Academy students had the opportunity to interview with some of the largest companies and structures in Italy and Lake Como in the Tourism and Hospitality sector.
IATH Academy hosted the fourth Career Day, dedicated to students attending the 2nd year of ITS study paths. At the prestigious venue in via Regina 5 in Cernobbio, Human Resources managers from the most important companies in the Tourism and Hospitality sector of Italy and Lake Como were invited to meet with students for interviews dedicated to the planning and organization of internships, training internships that students will have to carry out starting from mid-March 2024, aimed at job placement.
The lineup of companies invited to participate in the initiative included the founding partners of the Academy (Villa d’Este Group spa, Meta Group spa, LarioHotels), partners in the hotel sector that have been collaborating with the Academy for years in the planning of internships and teaching (Filario Hotel and Resorts, Grand Hotel Imperiale, Il Sereno, RCollection Group, Musa Lake Como), international chains (Accor, Hilton Lake Como, Mandarin Oriental, Armani Hotels, Room Mate Giulia, Planetaria Hotels), structures from all over Italy, such as Grand Hotel Alassio, Four Seasons Florence, JW Marriott Venice, Mediterranean Hospitality, and events and wedding planning agencies.. The choice of companies involved and available positions reflects the variety of modules that students face during the two-year academic course: from Front Office to Sales & Marketing, from Food and Beverage to Revenue, from Events to Human Resources.
The structure of the event, designed as a speed date where managers and students have 7 minutes to introduce themselves, contributed to creating a dynamic and interesting atmosphere for all participants.
The event was very successful both among companies, which found prepared, motivated, and enthusiastic young people regarding the idea of starting a new experience in the Hospitality sector, and among students, who in a single occasion were able to meet representatives of some of the most prestigious hotels in Italy.
The Career Day appointment is only the first piece in the planning of internships for IATH Academy students. There are now numerous partners abroad in Spain, the United Kingdom, France, Ireland, Greece, the Netherlands, Portugal, offering formative and international internship experiences.
